Homecoming ♥

This week was Homecoming week at City High.

Homecoming, that already sounds really American doesn't it? Well basically it's all about the football game and the Homecoming dance. And the week where those happen is called Spirit week, where you have a theme everyday to dress to. These theme days are very similar to the ones I had in Germany, during the week before my graduation after 10^th grade.

The themes here were:

Another big thing is the Homecoming King & Queen election, which was a bit weird for us exchange students, because we didn't really know the seniors that well so we couldn't tell who was who when seeing only the names.

The Homecoming Dance was great. Because I stayed at Deb's house that weekend (my counselor), we decided that we would invite Eleonora and Vicky over to get ready together and have a sleepover after the party. It was so much fun!

The dance itself was much less formal than I thought it would be, the cafeteria got decorated and there were several DJ's (the second one was the best because he didn't only play radio music). It was basically a normal party, those who got dates went with them but it wasn't weird at all to just go as a group of friends, since it was just a huge crowd dancing. I guess the prom at the end of the year will be much more formal and big, so I'm looking forward to that, but for now Homecoming was a fun experience! (Despite my feet hurting like hell after it)
