USA TOUR - NYC

Hello there!

The City that never sleeps.
Of all the cities I've visited in my life so far, including all of the cities from this USA Tour, I have to say that New York City was definitely one of my favorites, if not my favorite city. I just loved the atmosphere there, the streets, the taxi cabs, the fire stairs on the walls of the houses and the bridges. The bridges are amazing, both the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge! I strongly recommend walking across both of them if you're in New York because it's a feeling and a view that you wouldn't get otherwise.
We spent two days in total in New York, which is obviously not even close to enough to see everything, but we tried our best to walk through the boroughs and see most of the touristy stuff. We all decided that in those two days we would be tourists, but we would come back to New York for a longer time and discover and explore the real side of the city, the people and the places that aren't known to the tourists. I'm really interested to see that side as well, to see if I would still love the city as much as I do now, if I would like it less or maybe even more.

Statue of Liberty.

So the first thing we did was taking a boat to Ellis island, where we visited the immigration museum. After that we went to Liberty island, where the Statue of Liberty resides. There isn't much to do, except taking photos with the statue, however you had a great view on the New York skyline which made us filled with excitement to see the city.

Day 1.

Both of the days were jam packed and we walked around all day. Just to give you an idea of what can roughly be done and seen in a day in New York, I'll give you a quick itinerary of ours.
On day 1 we went to the 9/11 Memorial, walked from Times Square to the Empire state building, saw the flat iron building, the Madison Square Park, the Grand Central Terminal, the Rockefeller Plaza and lots of other places that I don't know the name of. One highlight of the day was when our group decided to get piercings as a unique souvenir and memento of
New York (I may or may not have passed out shortly after that but that's a different story). The other highlight was when we went up the Rockefeller center in the evening and enjoyed the incredible night skyline of New York to end the day on a magical note.
