Soccer

Hello there!

Soccer season is officially over.
We had our last game, a home game against the big rival school West High, which we unfortunately lost but we did well! Also we had our senior recognition, where all of the seniors walked over the soccer field with their parents, shook hands with all the coaches and got a diploma!
Being in a soccer team was so much fun, we had practice everyday and even though the season was only a few months long, the whole team became pretty close over the time and our Coach Corbin was just awesome. The team spirit was always a 100% and although we didn't win every game, we always did our best and supported each other no matter what.
In general the extracurricular activities here in the U.S are amazing. If it's sport or music or drama or art, you can have the opportunity to let your hobby grow and meet people that are passionate about it as well. I really regret not being in that many extracurricular's because it's pretty much the best way to get to know people. I went to Art club and Interact club a few times, but if I had the chance again I would've definitely joined a fall sport and maybe a choir (yes even if I can't sing I heard that it's super fun). I guess that for me it was more a matter of finding my way through school in general before I knew what you could do besides that. I didn't know who I needed to talk to in order to join a choir, or some clubs I just never knew when they were happening. So I wish I had another year where I knew what to do and where right away, because now I know the school really well. But of course that is not possible, so I am just going to give that advice to anyone considering an exchange year here. The U.S really is all about sport and extracurricular's (sometimes even a little bit too much).
Anyway, I still loved being a part of the school soccer teams and I'm super glad I did it! So sad that it's over! I'll miss some of these people so much!

Stay tuned!

Bye

    1. I'm using google blogger, or former google blogspot, all you need for that is a google account. I do think it's a good platform, although I'm not sure if it's more safe against hackers than Wordpress. Anyway, you can find it by simply googling "blogger". Good luck!
